Placée sous la responsabilité de la DGA, l’Agence de l’innovation de défense (AID) a été créée le 1er septembre 2018 par Florence Parly, ministre des Armées. Elle fédère les initiatives d’innovation du ministère en assurant la coordination et la cohérence de l’ensemble des démarches d’innovation. Tout en poursuivant les travaux relatifs à l’innovation technologique sur le temps long, l’Agence est le capteur des innovations d’opportunité au bénéfice de tous les utilisateurs finaux quels que soient leurs domaines : conduite des opérations, équipements, soutiens, fonctionnement, administration. Concernant le domaine médical, l’Agence Innovation Défense (AID) dispose d’un ensemble de dispositifs de financements pour promouvoir la recherche et l’innovation, tenant compte des spécificités d’emploi et des besoins particuliers des pratiques médicales des praticiens du service de santé des armées, ainsi que des soignants déployés dans les forces. Les expérimentations menées visent à adapter les dispositifs civils aux besoins spécifiques du service de santé des armées.

Placed under the responsibility of the DGA, the Defense Innovation Agency (AID) was created on September 1, 2018 by Florence Parly, Minister of the Armed Forces. It federates the Ministry's innovation initiatives by ensuring the coordination and coherence of all innovation approaches. While pursuing work relating to technological innovation over the long term, the Agency is the sensor of opportunity innovations for the benefit of all end-users whatever their fields: conduct of operations, equipment, support, operations, administration. In the medical field, the Defence Innovation Agency (AID) has a range of funding mechanisms at its disposal to promote research and innovation, taking into account the specific nature of employment and the particular needs of the medical practices of practitioners in the armed forces health service, as well as those of care-givers deployed in the forces. The aim of these experiments is to adapt civilian systems to the specific needs of the armed forces health service.
